the gray bear

who was given to my mother

before I was born

who is now not so fluffy

but still as comforting

so much depends on

My Teddy Bobby.

So much depends upon

the gray bear

who was given to my mother

before I was born

which is not as fluffy

as it was when

he gave it to her

she named the gray bear

Teddy Bobby

and now he is

MINE

I climbed the tree

you helped me down.

you kept me company

when it was dark around.

Life gave us different parts,

secrets told, we crossed our hearts.

Through all the years,

the smiles and tears,

to baseball games

and Powercat cheers.

I’ve never found a friend so true,

I’ll love you Lane
